The Club Career of Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the great Swedish player, signed his first contract with his hometown club Malmö FF in the year of 1996, but later moved up to the senior side for the 1999 season of Allsvenskan, Sweden’s top-flight league. He played for this club until 2001, when he joined Ajax. On 18 August 2004, he injured fellow Ajax team mate Rafael van der Vaart during an international match against the Netherlands, which led to the accusations from the injured player that Ibrahimovic had hurt him intentionally. This led to Ibrahimovic’s sudden joining to Juventus on 31 August in 2004. He played for Juventus until 2006.

In 2006, Ibrahimovic signed a four-year contract with Internazionale on 10 August, a few days after Patrick Vieira completed his transfer. Ibrahimovic played his 100th Serie A match on 16 September 2007 and his contract was renewed in 2007, to be last until June 2013. But he left the club in 2009 and joined FC Barcelona. After Maxwell completed his transfer to FC Barcelona, President Joan Laporta confirmed that there was an agreement between Barcelona and Internazionale for Ibrahimovic to join FC Barcelona in exchange for Samuel Eto’o and a lump some fee. Currently, this great football hero is playing for FC Barcelona.
